So, I’ve started a Video Blog on YouTube

I want to apologize to all of you who have supported my blogging efforts.  The busyness of life has prevented me from posting faithfully for quite some time.  However, recently, I have started a video blog on YouTube.  I plan to use this platform to share my Conservative views and Spiritual truth from the Word of God.  Would you consider joining me there?

Here’s a link to my channel:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvbgi5SAohL_Z0yOSZHbtCw

Do You Really Care About Our Kids?

God has blessed my family with six children, three boys…three girls….a modern day Brady Boggs8Bunch of sorts.  When our family piles out of the Suburban or walks into the grocery store, our presence raises eyebrows.  I wish I had a nickel for every time a person asks, “You know how that happens, right?” My favorite response is, “My wife knows, but she won’t tell me.”  Truth be told, we love kids.  It’s that plain and simple.

We (our family) associate or tend to support a political Party that champions children, starting at conception.  We proudly claim to be the Party of Life.  And that’s the case for the GOP unless the preferred Candidate fails to receive the Party’s nod for nominee and then some moan and groan, threatening to support a third Party candidate or refusing to vote in November.  But my third Party candidate is pro-life, you say.  That’s great, but in our overwhelmingly entrenched two-party system, a third party candidate only serves to steal votes away from either the Democrat or Republican nominee.  In this case, Donald Trump stands to lose the most from individuals dead set against the GOP nominee.

Am I one hundred percent convinced Trump’s a true Conservative?  Absolutely not!  He concerns me…a great deal.  However, am I convinced Hillary Clinton plans to perpetuate Obama’s legacy by sticking America with a third term of Obama’s ideologies?  Absolutely!  She’s promised as much.  And this is one of the only things she’s said that can be trusted.

Time and time again I converse with Conservatives who won’t vote for Trump because their conscience won’t allow it.  Well, if that’s you, I pose the following questions:

Will your conscience allow Hillary Clinton to nominate four or more Supreme Court Justices?

Will your conscience vote for Hillary, a woman worshiped by the nation’s largest abortion provider?

Will your conscience vote for Hillary even after she claimed Margaret Sanger as a hero?

Will your conscience vote for a woman who lied about Benghazi, blaming the attack on a YouTube video?

Will your conscience vote for a woman who compromised national security by unilaterally deciding to utilize her own private server and email?

Will your conscience vote for a woman whose husband sexually harassed and assaulted scores of women?  (Hillary called the women’s charges, “Bimbo eruptions.)

Will your conscience vote for a woman who’s been called “extremely careless” by the FBI?

And let me ask again, will your conscience permit you to allow Hillary Clinton to nominate four or more Supreme Court Justices, who enjoy lifetime appointments?

A vote for a Third Party candidate or boycotting the ballot box in November is a vote for Hillary…a violation of the conscience many claim the desire to protect.

Trump’s not perfect…not even close.  And we really don’t know how America will fare under a Trump/Pence Administration.  Clinton’s track record speaks for itself; Hillary’s term in office might be America’s death knell.

So I ask, do you really care about our kids?

Baal on Broadway

A few weeks ago I read a headline reporting something like,

“Baal comes to New York City.”

Sometimes I have to take things I see on social media with a grain of salt.  At that time, I assumed someone retweeted an Onion story or cited an article out of the National Enquirer.  Sadly, I was wrong.  This morning several reputable news sources are reporting that replica arches to the entrance of the Temple of Baal will be erected in New York City and London.  What’s the purpose?  To show the world what the arches looked like prior to ISIS’ rampage through Syria.  I’m certain many find this harmless, simply a teaching moment for those who have never seen the ancient ruins.  But before we brush off the event, we need to dig a little deeper.  Who was/is this Baal character anyway?

Baal was the name of the supreme god worshiped in ancient Canaan and Phoenicia.  Sadly, the worship of Baal wasn’t limited to pagan Gentiles.  From time to time, the Children of Israel slipped into idol worship, prostrating themselves before the god of Baal.  The word Baal means “lord.”  Baal was worshiped as a fertility god who was supposedly able to coax the earth to produce crops and people to produce children.

Baal worship was rooted in sensuality and involved ritualistic prostitution in the temples.  On some occasions, Baal demanded human sacrifice, usually the firstborn of the one making the sacrifice.  Jeremiah 19:4-5 refers to this practice,

“For they have forsaken Me (God) and made this a place of foreign gods; they have burned incense in it to gods that neither they nor their ancestors nor the kings of Juda ever knew, and they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent.  They have built the high places of Baal to burn their children in the fire as offerings to Baal – something I did not command or mention, nor did it enter my mind.”

Before the Hebrews crossed the Jordan to enter the Promised Land, God warned the Israelite people to steer clear of Canaan’s gods.  Israel turned to idolatry anyway.  In the book of I Kings, we see the Lord God confronting the paganism through His prophet Elijah.  First, God showed that He, not Baal controlled nature by sending a drought lasting over three years (I Kings 17).  Then, Elijah called for a showdown between the God of Israel and Baal.  All day long, 450 prophets of Baal begged their god to send down fire from heaven.  Baal remained silent.  Upon Elijah’s heartfelt prayer, the God of Israel responded with fire immediately. (I Kings 18)

Interestingly enough, Jesus calls Satan “Beelzebub,” linking the devil to Baal-Zebub, a god of the Philistines.  But let me make it clear, the Baalim referenced in the Old Testament were nothing more than demons masquerading as gods.  In other words, any time the Children of Israel bowed to an idol of Baal, they participated in devil worship.

So, that’s what’s coming to New York City, a replica archway that welcomed people into the presence of a false deity…a gateway to worship the Father of Lies.  Ultimately, this is a prolife issue.

The act of abortion, mirrors in part, idol worship discussed in the Old Testament.  Cultures outside of Israel sacrificed to false gods, Baal and Molech.  On occasion this required child sacrifice.  Pagan cultures worshiped this god of Baal, sacrificing their children to him.  But since Baal didn’t truly exist, the god of this world received glory in these sacrificial rituals.  Here we are, a few thousand years later, cultured people conceal Baal, disguising him under the banner of an organization like Planned Parenthood.  Certainly all of the darkest recesses of hell shriek with delight every time a helpless innocent baby is ripped limb by limb from the womb.

Three years ago, I woke to the Twitter trend, “Hail Satan.”  I couldn’t imagine what transpired in the overnight hours.  Pro-life advocates had congregated at the Texas Capitol Building and sang Amazing Grace.  Rabidly pro-abortion advocates taunted the makeshift choir, drowning out the hymn by chanting “Hail Satan.”  Erecting an arch to the god of Baal takes this hideous action a bit further.  In Texas, those  people were merely chanting “hail Satan,” but now an altar will be raised in his name in the most powerful and identifiable city in the world.

One day the chant “hail Satan” will cease.  In fact, one day Jesus will shout the order,

“To hell, Satan.”

And forevermore he’ll dwell in the Lake of Fire.  What a glorious day.  But until then, we pray,

 “Come quickly Lord Jesus.”

Abortionists Don’t Wear Capes

kid in cape  Our world’s infatuated with superheroes.

Once an imaginary outlet reserved for kids, superheroes are now embraced by adults willing to shell out millions of dollars to watch Iron Man and Captain America save the planet.

As a little boy, I often donned a bath towel, pretending my “cape” enabled me to fly from one crisis to another.  I whisked here and there, scanning my surrounding for nefarious villains.  Thankfully my fear of heights dissuaded me from jumping from a corner of the roof to test my flying prowess.  In my eyes, superheroes served one primary purpose, saving innocent lives.

Before posting this entry, I read several blogs focusing on our infatuation with superheroes.  Every blogger without exception wrote we love guardians of the universe because they give hope.  Hope that one person can make a difference.  Hope to believe we can face every difficult task, undaunted.  Hope that good triumphs over evil.  In real life, we ascribe the tag “superhero” to our parents, military, first responders, or any other people consistent in making a difference in peoples’ lives.

Not Obama.

This past week Obama added another demographic to the superheroes list, abortion providers. If superheroes spark hope in the hearts of humans, abortionists certainly serve as the agents to dash hope.  Those destroying futures spawn visions of the archenemies not cape wearing and shield wielding protectors of society.

The President used a Women’s History Month reception at the White House to bestow upon Cecile Richards, the head of Planned Parenthood, the title of a “real-life superhero.”  In his comments he said,

“We’ve got a lot of them (real life superheroes) in this room, so I want to acknowledge a couple of them.  First of all, we’ve got Cecile Richards in the house, making sure women’s health care is on the front burner.”

If Cecile Richards solely focused on the health of women, then certainly she deserves high praise and recognition.  However, Richards serves as the President of the nation’s largest abortion business.  Over 300,000 babies are slaughtered in Planned Parenthood facilities every year.  How do the actions of abortionists instill hope?  How does the action of tossing babies into large trash receptacles earn the badge of heroism?

It. Does. Not.

Pro-life advocates are the heroes.   People who operate crisis pregnancy centers offering an alternative to abortion are the heroes.   Women who choose life and birth the baby are the heroes.  Women who choose life, and although not quite ready to be a mother, give up their babies for adoption, those are the heroes.  All of the above mirror the actions of superheroes, fighting to protect life and giving the “least of these” a fighting chance at a bright future.  That’s hope.

What abortionists offer?  Not so much.

Trashing a Picasso

Imagine for a moment strolling down the streets of Madrid, admiring the sights and sounds of Spain’s Capitol city.  Outside the Plaza de Torres, you hear the shrieks and cheers of the spectators as a matador playfully teases a charging bull.  You note street vendors hawking their wares under another typical cloudless sky.  And then you see him, the master.  Pablo Picasso is standing outside his studio, a paintbrush and pallet in hand.  Hunched with age, he stares with determination, surveying the blank canvas.

You watch with great interest as the artist dabs his pallet and swipes his brush across the canvass in shades of blue and blue green.   Minutes pass.  Maybe hours.  Then unprovoked, you push the artisan from his easel and grab the partially completed masterpiece.  Finding a dumpster, you toss the painting in the trash receptacle, proudly rubbing your hands together in victory.  Pablo demands to know your motives.  You turn a deaf ear, only commenting it wasn’t really a painting because it wasn’t completed.

Can you imagine the audacity, the gall, the absolute lunacy of such a deed?  I mean we’re talking Pablo Picasso, one of the most renowned painters of all time.  Even a partial painting buried under another completed work fetches stunning amounts of money at auction.  No, to trash a Picasso at any stage of the process would be absolutely foolish and tragic on many levels.

So, what about God and babies?

Psalm 139:13-16 says,

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.  16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Note the artistic language in the passage.  God knits us together.  We are woven in the depths of the earth.  Both phrases teach of God’s intricate design as He plants a person in the womb of an expectant mother.  According to the Scriptures, we are God’s masterpieces.  If that’s so, why is the womb a dangerous place?

At the most recent Democratic Town Hall meeting, Bret Baier asked Bernie Sanders if there should be a point in pregnancy when life should be protected.  Bernie Sanders said,

“I am very strongly pro-choice.  That is a decision to be made by the woman, her physician, and her family.  That’s my view.”

In other words, Sanders supports an abortion at any point during a woman’s pregnancy.  Isn’t this like the person in Madrid trashing a Picasso before being signed and sold in an art gallery?  There’s still much worth and value to the unfinished project because of the artist’s reputation.  Completed or not, the canvass still deserves the title of “Masterpiece.”

How much more then should the creative genius of God be honored, respected, treasured and preserved?  Liberals rally around the eggs of eagles and the endangered Delta Smelt in California.  Why not babies?  Classifying babies in the womb as “fetuses” serves to fool people into believing the fledgling developing is something other than human.  The word “fetus” means “unborn offspring of a human.”  And what is the unborn offspring called?

A baby.

I love reading Dr. Seuss to my children.  Though I know nothing about his political ideologies, he espoused a pro-life view whether he intended to or not.  My favorite Seuss work is “Horton Hears a Who.” My favorite line from the book reads,

“A person’s a person no matter how small.”

Let’s not trash the life of the unborn, and let’s not support a candidate with a staunchly held position that abortion should be allowed at any stage of the pregnancy.  Our politicians are quick to point fingers at ISIS and categorize them as barbarians.  Yet, our culture rips a baby from the womb and toasts the right to do so.

Can you imagine one million Picassos treated as common trash, tossed into a bin awaiting a furnace?  Certainly not.   Then why do we treat God’s masterpieces with triviality and inconsequence?  Each step of the developmental process highlights the creativity of God, the finished project birthed in nine months.  To believe otherwise showcases humanities’ desire to evict God from His own art studio.  Again, ridiculous.   God will not be mocked.  At some point, His righteous Hand of judgment will no longer be stayed.

May God have mercy on our souls.

Are You Distracted?

As a child, I heard adults say on many occasions that time seems to fly by faster as one ages.  Honestly, I never knew the reality of that statement until becoming an adult.  It does seem each year passes by at a faster clip.  Here we sit on the eve of 2016 and I’m just now used to writing ‘2015’ on my personal checks.  Maybe the days speed by in a blur because of our hectic schedules and varied obligations.  We run here, race there, barely finding time to breathe.  Careers monopolize much of our time with the other waking hours spent shuttling kids to basketball games, theater practice, or church activities.  Seldom do we simply pause and consider the most important things of life.

There’s a story found in the Gospels addressing the importance of this ‘pause.’  Mary and Martha find themselves in the position of hosting Jesus and the Disciples.  Martha immediately concerns herself with preparing a meal for thirteen men.  I can see Martha rummaging through the cupboards, pulling ingredients, cooking utensils and slipping on an apron.  As she organizes her thoughts, she realizes her sister hasn’t joined her in the kitchen.  I see her peeking into the living room, hoping to lock eyes with Mary.  When Mary ignores her sister’s laser like glare, I see Martha banging pots together and clearing her throat in an abnormally loud manner.  When all efforts to draw Mary’s attention fail, she takes her complaint to the Master.

“Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

Martha assumes Jesus will side with her, sending Mary to help shoulder the work of meal preparation.  I see Martha crossing her arms with a smirk as she readies for Jesus gentle reprimand of her slacking sister.  However, Jesus responds in a manner completely unexpected.

“Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset  about many things, but only one thing is needed.  Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

What had Mary chosen? To sit at the feet of Jesus.

The chore of fixing a meal distracted Martha from sitting at the Teacher’s feet.  In two thousand years, not much has changed.  We live in a society full of distractions.  News agencies seldom focus on the real issues, magnifying minor stories to protect their political ideologies.  For those unwilling to investigate for themselves, the journalistic “sleight of hand” keeps the masses uninformed.  This strategy bodes well for ideologues weaving webs of destruction to topple American Exceptionalism.  But there’s even a greater problem.  Christians.  Yes, Christians.

For years, followers of Christ have chosen to sit quietly on the sidelines watching America’s harrowing ride to “hell in a hand basket.”  Christians remained silent when one loud and overbearing atheist complained about prayer in schools.  When Roe versus Wade was argued at the Supreme Court, Christians largely held their tongues disbelieving a refined society would be allowed to legally destroy the life of an unwanted child.  And now, decades later, when Christians voice concerns, their views are largely ignored or dismissed as being intolerant.  And why?  Because only a small percentage of Christians choose to speak up.  Many Christians continue to believe a polite society avoids religious and political topics.  Based upon the current political and ideological climate of our Country, maybe that old philosophy needs to be tossed aside.

If we truly care about the future of our children and grandchildren we must take those truths we learn at the feet of Jesus and implement them in the world around us.  Remember, Jesus informed His disciples to

“Render to Caesar the things that are Caesars and to God the thing that our God’s.”

This holds true provided Caesar’s edicts steer clear of conflicting with the Law of God.  When the Government enacts laws failing to honor Biblical truths, we must stand firm on the Word of God.  We must remove the self-imposed muzzle from our mouths and make our voices heard.  That’s my intent as we embark upon another new year.

As for me and my House, we will serve the Lord.

A Magical Land of Free Abortions

babyinwomb  A few mornings ago, I visited a family at the hospital. As we discussed their loved ones serious condition, at one point, lilting chimes played a sweet lullaby over the public address system. We paused our conversation, and one noted,

“Ohhh, how sweet.  A baby was born.”

For a brief moment, the burden of a loved one recovering from a serious injury was interrupted by the welcomed announcement of a baby’s birth. For whatever reason, my mind transported back 2000 years to the Judean hills just outside Bethlehem.

The Bible records in Luke 2, the most important birth announcement in world history.  Instead of chimes and a soothing lullaby, an angelic choir shattered the silent night with a glorious choral arrangement. The shepherds quaked in fear as the angels announced the Messiah’s arrival.  After the multitude of heavenly beings disappeared into the heavenly realms, the shepherds followed the angel’s instructions, and hurried to find a

“babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”

They found the newborn and his adolescent parents huddled together in a musty, dank, smelly stable. Undeterred or confused by this little one’s lowly beginnings, the shepherds left holy ground, serving as the first evangelists to point people to Christ.

Two Sundays ago, a church member sang “A Baby Changes Everything,” in our worship service on Sunday. The song shares the point of view of both Mary and Joseph and their handling of a newborn child. Adding a newborn to the household is a game changer. My wife and I have six children and every time we’ve brought a baby home, the household routine takes a back seat to the infant’s schedule…or lack thereof. But would we have it any other way? Absolutely not! However, there are those who believe the disruption isn’t worth it and opt out of a perfectly viable pregnancy via abortion.

The abortion giant Planned Parenthood has garnered much attention as of late in regards to their handling of the remains of aborted babies. Undercover investigative journalists uncovered unethical practices at several differing clinics across America. It seems that this entity would strive to keep its nose clean to allow the outrage of Conservatives to cool. However, a recent Tweet confirms that the abortion leader feels little remorse about their deviant practices. Someone from Planned Parenthood actually tweeted the following:

“Imagine ‘life in a magical land where abortions and birth control are free and plentiful’ This place exists.”

I’m guessing the place is hell.

In actuality, we should imagine a land where every life conceived is given every opportunity to enter the world and be cherished and loved. Instead, many view the fetus as a burden or compare the unborn child to a tumor or clump of cells, disregarding that God considers the child a masterpiece of His own design.

I can imagine a magical land where abortions and birth control are free and plentiful. In fact, we’re living in that Country now. Okay, so abortions might not be free, but aren’t they plentiful? Does 1,000,000 abortions per year sound like a paltry sum? Should we strive for more? Maybe Planned Parenthood could host a telethon in the same vein as the MDA televised specials of old.  Every time another baby dies, they add a number to the electronic numbers board. Let’s shoot for the moon! And birth control? Most pills cost a mere pittance and there’s still the option of a truck stop bathroom.  And for those who really are desperate for free abortions, let me warn you, free doesn’t mean cheap. It’s costing the collective soul of the United States of America.

This Christmas season, let’s cherish life and celebrate the greatest gift of all. We all should drop to our knees and thank God Mary didn’t visit a Planned Parenthood.

The Wizard is Missing From Liberalism

babyinwomb

I love “The Wizard of Oz.”

For many years I watched the family classic annually, awed by a Kansas Twister and farm girl Dorothy and her adventures traveling the Yellow Brick Road.  Along the way, strangers become companions, and Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion link arms, setting their sights on the Emerald City and its most famous citizen, the Wizard himself.  All in Oz believe the Wizard all powerful and that he can grant wishes unmet by any other means.  Dorothy desires a first class ticket to Kansas.  The Scarecrow hopes to snag a brain.  The Cowardly Lion wants courage befitting the King of the Jungle, and the Tin Man lacks a heart.  It seems that malady affects many more than whimsical rusting robots.

Yesterday, a House Committee commenced interrogating supporters of the abortion industry in an attempt to determine if Planned Parenthood should be defunded.  The Congressional Committee heard from Yale Professor Priscilla Smith.  A rabid supporter of abortion, Miss Smith was the lawyer who argued for keeping partial birth abortion legal at the Supreme Court.  Thankfully, the High Court voted to ban the gruesome abortion technique.

The Congressional Committee Chair reminded the Professor of the ruling, reading the Supreme Court’s decision on partial birth abortion.  He then directed the following question to Ms. Smith,

“Do you believe this (partial birth abortion) is a humane way to die?”

Initially, Miss Smith chased the rabbit of “viability” but eventually admitted she considered a “D & E” a human means of aborting a baby.  If uncertain about the procedure, the following steps are taken to kill the infant in the womb:

a.  The body parts are grasped at random with a long toothed clamp.

b.  The body parts are pulled from the fetal body out the vaginal canal.

c.  The remaining body parts are grasped and pulled out.

d.  The head is grasped and crushed in order to remove it from the vaginal canal.

e.  The placenta and remaining contents are suctioned from the uterus.

Miss Priscilla Smith, director of Yale Law School’s Program for the Study of Reproductive Justice, defends a woman’s right to abortion and believes partial birth abortion falls under the definition of “a humane way to die.”

Maybe I’m out of touch, but I personally believe “humane” and “dismemberment” shouldn’t exist in the same sentence.  When I hear the word “dismemberment” I picture serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.  It seems the only difference between Dahmer’s heinous crimes and Planned Parenthood is that Dahmer dined on his victims….Maybe that’s the red line differentiating between “humane” and “inhumane.”  Maybe Liberals balk when cannibalism is involved.

Sadly, we find America in a position where the most innocent of life discovers the womb to be one of the most dangerous locales in the United States.  It’s time for the Left to follow the same path as the Tin Man.  Without a heart, the Tin Man felt deprived of the most human of emotions.  He determined the heart the seat of compassion and sympathy, qualities missing in a man crafted from tin.  Unfortunately, compassion and sympathy appear strangely absent from flesh and blood humans advocating for the right to abort an innocent life.  Just the thought of fighting for the right to dismember a child and market his parts and tissue boggles the mind.

If Liberals truly believe ripping a baby limb from limb from the womb is humane, then Dorothy was right.

“We’re not in Kansas anymore.”

And it’s not a Wizard they need.  It’s God.

God Spare America

Bible

On September 11, 2001, I sat proctoring a test in a local junior high school, when a fellow teacher stepped into the room.  There to relieve me, he said, “Get to a television.”  I hurried down the hallway and stepped into the teacher’s lounge.  An aide stood in front of the television, transfixed.  I peeked over her shoulder in time to see the second plane plow into the World Trade Center.  For the next several minutes, I watched as throngs of people sprinted from the towers.  And then both buildings crumpled, leaving a smoldering pile of rubble.

For the rest of the day, the world’s eyes were glued to the television, attempting to process the information coming in.  By the end of the day, four hijacked planes delivered death and destruction, killing almost 3000 innocent people.  In one coordinated act of cowardice, radical jihadists stole America’s peace of mind and sense of invincibility.  How would America respond?

Later that day, something happened on Capitol Hill no one expected.  After Congressman Hastert addressed the nation, pledging to hold accountable those responsible for terrorism on our shores, the Congress formed an impromptu choir, gathering in a show of solidarity singing “God Bless America.”

Yes….”God Bless America.”

For the next few weeks, churches experienced a major uptick in attendance.  People scrambled to seek answers to combat fears of future attacks.  It’s true…there are no atheists in foxholes.  Sadly, the singing of “God Bless America” and the new interest in clinging to God faded as the United States settled back into the old and familiar routine of life pre-terrorist attack.  When the Congress linked arms and sang a song beseeching the Creator to bless our Country, for a fleeting a moment I wondered,

“Could this be the beginning of a much needed Spiritual Awakening?”

A few short years later, the Democratic National Convention delegates booed when asked to insert the mention of God and Israel into the Democratic Platform.

Yes.  They.  Booed.  God.

Obviously, the memory of terrorists killing a few thousand Americans was dimmed by a new push to eradicate God entirely from the public arena.

Fast forward to 2015.  It appears those opposed to anything holy and righteous have stepped on the accelerator, speeding up America’s trip to “hell in a hand basket.”  In the last few months, the Supreme Court has overstepped its bounds in legalizing gay marriage, Christians face the targeted efforts of homosexuals demanding everyone honor their unions, and a investigative journalist organization has video evidence that Planned Parenthood harvests organs of aborted babies, including those born alive.  A couple of decades ago, America surpassed all other world powers leading as Reagan’s “shining city on a hill.”  Today, it’s a sprint to the bottom to surpass the wickedness of Sodom and Gomorrah.

And now, Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis sits in jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples.  Her professed faith in Christ and belief in the teachings of the Bible dictates her decision.  Obviously, an activist judge wrongly believes the Supreme Court can create laws and finds an opportunity to teach all “bitter clingers” in America a lesson.  It’s becoming apparent the gay agenda isn’t about equality but about forcing everyone to embrace the “alternative” lifestyle.

Unless another horrific calamity strikes America, I don’t anticipate Congress singing “God Bless America” any time soon.  In fact, I’m not even sure we have that right.  We should encourage the President to utilize his “pen and phone” to change the lyrics to “God Spare America.”  That seems more apropos.
