Jesus Loves the Little Children

At an early age I learned a song that sticks with me to this day:

Jesus loves the little children,

All the children of the world.

Red and yellow, black and white,

They are precious in His sight.

Jesus loves the little children of the world.

Did you sing it? Do you remember the times you sang in in Sunday School or VBS? The song reminds me of God’s love for every person in every nation. It teaches the truth of John 3:16 in a simplistic and memorable manner. And because of God’s great love for children, He hates the Mexico City policy.

In the recent flurry of executive orders, one included rescinding America’s ban on funding abortions around the globe. The White House announced that the President will issue a memorandum to “protect and expand access to comprehensive reproductive health care” globally. Any time one sees the term “comprehensive reproductive health care,” be wary, as that’s the politically correct term for unfettered access to a woman’s right to abort the baby developing in her womb. In fact, it’s ridiculous to classify abortion as healthcare as it destroys one life and can potentially harm the mother as well.

There really is no good explanation as to why some insist on funding abortions around the world. America aborts an average of 700,000 babies per year. Is this not enough to satisfy their thirst for innocent blood? Instead of throwing dollars at other Countries enabling them greater access to “reproductive healthcare,” our Country should be working to minimize abortion, the holocaust of this generation. Since 1973, over sixty million lives have been lost. Ninety-seven percent of the time, women seek out abortions to destroy an unwanted life conceived in a moment of uncontrolled passion. Sadly, the real issue to address is the woman’s (and man’s) role in refusing to take responsibility for their actions.

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me…” Granted, whenever an unborn baby’s life ends, Jesus welcomes them into Heaven, but can this meeting bring Him pleasure? Every life conceived is created in the image of God. The Psalmist writes that we are “knit together in our mother’s womb.” Consider a person who knits. For those accomplished at the craft, they churn out beautiful pieces often times serving as gifts to loved ones. God knits together babies in their mother’s wombs as gifts to be cherished and loved, not tossed in a medical waste bin. How His heart must break when a baby conceived is viewed as a burden and not a blessing.

Yes, Jesus loves the little children.

Maybe America should do the same.

Lions, Liars, and Babies…Oh My

The main stream media frothed this week when news came to light an American big game hunter killed a lion in Zimbabwe.  The outrage of animal lovers forced the man into hiding, shuttering his successful dentist practice in the process. Even the Obama Administration took note and suggested a federal investigation might be in order.  “Cecil the Lion” trended for over 24 hours on Twitter with some calling for the hunter’s death.  The other news dominating social media and Conservative news sites was the revelation Planned Parenthood hawks the remains of aborted babies to the  highest bidder.  Using strong arm tactics, the abortion giant effectively silenced the main stream media, urging restraint in exposing their heinous practices.

Now a federal judge has ordered the Center for Medical Progress to cease the release of these videos.  The National Abortion Federation sought a California’s judge aid in stopping the release of further videos, citing “irreparable injury” if posted.  The producer of the video expose’ shared that future posts suggest Planned Parenthood occasionally sells fully intact bodies of babies for the purpose of “medical research.”  No wonder the National Abortion Federation scrambled to secure a gag order.  For whatever reason, our Country’s loudest voices would rather crucify a hunter than protect the most innocent.

A host of Americans have swallowed a lie.  At some point, a philosophy’s been taught that the “King of the Jungle” deserves a greater amount of protection than a human life developing in the womb.  Maybe it started in the Garden of Eden when the Serpent posed the following question,

“Did God really say?”

Psalm 139 stands as one of the most pro-life passages in the Bible.  The Psalmist writes,

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb, I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place.  When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.”

Of course those who claim no belief in God disregard the words of an ancient book and trumpet vociferously for a woman’s right to choose.  “Healthcare” facilities like Planned Parenthood stand with women and tightrope walk around the word “baby” when a woman visits for pre-abortion counseling.  In the public eye, abortion advocates soften abortion by using terms like “fetus,” “clump of cells,” “tissue” and even “tumor.”  However, behind laboratory doors, technicians refer to the remains as “a baby” and “it’s another boy.”  Apparently, they side with the Bible as well.

Hopefully, the barbaric practices of Planned Parenthood have awakened the pro-life lion.  And hopefully soon, this lion’s roar drowns out the roar and the legacy of a lion named Cecil.  If not, may God have mercy on America’s soul.
